Space - Light - Drawing
Being a draughtswoman I use pencils or charcoal; often, however, my drawing tools are not tangible as I draw with light. In my installations I transform places and buildings into three-dimensional light drawings. In this way I sound out the possibilities of drawing: from hand-drawn pictures in miniature format on glass slides to walkable room drawings.
While this completely new type of media installation preserves all the unpolished and immediate quality of traditional graphic art and hand drawings that I keep developing as well, this technique fits in with contemporary experimental art, too.
